Damn, I just submitted this! Not surprised, the mcu isn't director driven friendly, and after Feige walked back on the horror comments he made, it was only a matter of time before Derrickson dropped out. Shame it couldn't have been L****e, though.

Wait it's not going to be horror like any more? That's the only thing that made it interesting lol

Nope lol, he went from "it'll be horror like" to "never mind it won't be but it'll have some scary sequences"

I really dislike dr strange but I was ready for a horror-esque movie to make me shut up and be a fan tbh! That’s disappointing

Apparently he wanted the film to be horror. Marvel wasn’t having it.

I wonder if this has anything to do with Kevin Feige's sudden turn from "it's a horror movie" to "it is not a horror movie, but parts of it are scary."

Makes you wonder how they’ll start treating the horror property they do have, like Blade.

I was happy that they gave New Mutants back to Boone (even if I am decidedly not happy about some of the choices he made on that movie), but now I'm reminded that the mainline movies can only go so far outside of the formula. Can't wait for bloodless PG-13 violence in Blade!!

Oh. Oh no. They can't tone down Blade. It's impossible and I say this as someone who enjoyed and owns the tv show lol
