Saw it and was sobbing so hard during ~that scene~

A little too long, but I was really moved by it and it was definitely visually stunning.

Must've it's my politics it whatever, but it def felt critical of war in some respects

I’m really looking forward to seeing it and glad to hear you liked it! I’m anti war but will see any war movie, I think it’s the historical context that always instills the high drama and emotional impact that I find really fascinating

i saw it weeks ago and while i get the gimmick argument (and WW movie fatigue), it really was a beautifully shot film, and does have an emotional heart
