i love witcher 3, but i still haven't finished it yet!

i bought the books way back when i first watched a play-through from the game, but i never read them & now with the netflix series idk if i want to spoil myself

my mother is into it too & was really disappointed, when i told her she had to wait a year for more lol

tbh, it's more like the games spoil your for the books than the other way around.

The games are like... a post-canon fanfic of the games.

yeah ik, but the series won't touch the games, so i only know some stuff and not how it all happens/plays out

I'm hoping the show ends up being such a big moneymaker for Netflix that we get the final season being an adaptation of the games. lol. Probs won't happen though just because of the 'different endings' nature of the game.

All I know about the Witcher is the Conan 'clueless gamer' ep where he finally gets to have game sex.

Normally, he does absolutely nothing for me. I can recognize that he is objectively handsome, but other than that, I've got nothing.

On the show though... gd, give the costume designer and hair stylist all the awards, lol

Wait, what's the bad ending?

I've only made it through the whole game once and I got [Spoiler (click to open)]Empress Ciri.

blood and wine is one of the best DLC of any game ever, imo. it was so fun and fleshed out, it honestly felt like an add-on game instead of just an extra couple quests like most DLC

I'm starting a rewatch tonight! ✨

I wish the first two games were on Playstation. I could get them on my laptop but I prefer consoles these days. I did actually play the first 30ish minutes of the first game a few years ago and oof, it was rough. in terms of graphics but also there were some boob physics like immediately. maybe I'll go back at some point but I'll probably read the books before I bother.

The first game is straight terrible, honestly.

The last act plot is good. But other than that... the sexism is TOO MUCH.

The second game is better, but still not amazing.

yep, I've seen lots of clips of both games (thanks tumblr circa 2011) so I have a pretty good idea of the sexism especially in the first one. that's why I figured I'd go for the books first, I feel like I'd rather flesh out the start of the lore before giving the time to bad/mediocre games based after the books, if that makes sense lol.
