Says there’s a disconnect between talk and action. Iranians are talking as if we’re already at war, but not acting that way. Says there’s a difference between a safer America and a better America. Joy wonders how it’s safer when there’s retaliation. Quotes Warren who said it’s a Wag the Dog distraction from impeachment. RK says it’s up to the WH to present the motivation. Warren said why last week, why not (any time ever, prior to now). Credibility gap because he’s lied 14K times during office. Impeachment can take place at any time, war or not. Most say unfounded war is exactly why impeachment should take place. RK says there’s a trust gap, because WH doesn’t inspire confidence. And what was the threat, why wasn’t it presented. Why won’t Pompeo say if the threat is gone now. Abby wonders what is the national security strategy. T45 is all over the place. Peace, war, bring troops out, send them to Saudi and now Iraq, Iraq wants US out. RK says this was a victory for the Hawks but (paraphrasing) talks out of both sides of his mouth. RK says even Cabinet is on board but Joy says they’re his picks, not career military and foreign policy strategists. Sunny brings up There’s Always a Tweet from 2011 from T45 about Obama, claiming Obama would do (but never did) exactly what T45 has done.

RK says T45 will do whatever tf he wants to do because nobody is ever going to stop him. Joy reminds this is 2003 Iraq all over again. Except this time, America is war-weary and knows what a sham Iraq War was. RK says everyone is skeptical and opposing this because everything about T45 is corrupt and impulsive. Sunny said other Potus were given Soleimani as an option but decided not to because it wasn’t proportionate and knew the dire consequences. Soleimani was an official sitting member of Iran government, so assassinating him is, in every way, an act of war. Joy says Iran has completely pulled out of the arms deal that (fmr SOS Kerry) had brokered, because T45 lives to stick it to Obama.

To wag the dog means to purposely divert attention from what would otherwise be of greater importance, to something else of lesser significance. The expression comes from the saying that a dog is smarter than its tail, but if the tail were smarter, then the tail would 'wag the dog'.
