I used to work at a concert venue that hosts a free concert for the celebrity golf tournament every summer.

There were a ton of famous athletes/celebrities there getting drinks and playing our free football toss games, but they seemed annoyed that I didn't know who any of them were. I didn't act impressed by anyone... I just needed to make money. The guy who played J. Peterman on Seinfeld was rude to me when I didn't move fast enough to pick up his football for him.

i knew tom brady and i blanked on lebron james and ronaldo. i knew their names but couldn't think of then

I got all the US athletes, but I blanked on Ronaldo's first name (the quiz gave me the pts for his last name tho) and that Messi dude. I literally only see anything about them on ONTD becauase idgaf about soccer.

my problem is remembering to type their actual names and not, say, Crispy

Unless they're in commercials with their name on the screen or in the news enough where their name is mentioned, I don't know like 99.44% of sports people.
