Why do celebrities keep asking for privacy? You're a public figure, do something else behind the scenes if you cant handle the exposure. She just needs to be more firm and say no. I've had many panic attacks before and they are not fun, I dont know how that dumbass fan didnt notice she wasnt ok. Social media has made too many people feel entitled.

lmao you don't get to walk up to people while they are not doing their job and ask them to perform their job. this works in all other industries so idk why artists are always expected to be the exception. no one's gonna do a painting for you for free, no one's gonna do graphic art for you for free, and if you had a friend that was a waiter you wouldn't constantly ask them to go get your appetizer from the other room. everyone is entitled to a modicum of privacy.

I understand what you're saying, and agree, but its always been part of the job for actors/musicians since wayback when. Music and film are very personal for some people so it would be exciting to see your favorite artist in real life. Like if they're walking down the street, that's fair game. But if theyre at lunch or with people, its rude and not appropriate.

Also, the coddling and pandering that pop stars do now enables overstepping boundaries. Blame gaga tbh. She's the one that started it all.

Why is the fan's entitlement more important than the celebrity?

If they had no fans, they wouldnt be a celebrity. A lot of my faves are dead, so I have no horse in this race, but I know for a fact they always took time out of their day for their fans. Just dont be an asshole if you're gonna ask for a picture.

Okay. But why does being a fan mean that your wants are more important?

What? I never said they were. I personally think its more intrusive when fans are outside of hotels or apartments as opposed to casually just out in a city.

It's always intrusive though.

It’s always intrusive. I understand it’s art and we feel a connection to it, but at the end of the day these are regular people going about their day. It is a kindness to a fan if they stop to say hello, or to sign something or to take a photo. It isn’t a fan’s right, in any circumstance, to go up to an artist for something. Enjoy their music and enjoy their films but unless you find yourself in a space where you can tell them you love their work, leave them alone.

Lol, what?? Being a film and movie star is way different than those careers. Your job becomes more than just acting or singing when you're a celebrity. If you just wanted to act, you could do stage or theater acting, and be low key. You sign up to be in Hollywood. Yes, there are entitled people out there but you're a celebrity, that is a job.

But no ones asking her to act for free? She chose to be a celebrity not just an actor. She can join a community theatre and leave the public eye if she wants.

Nah I didn't mean that, they do deserve privacy cause there are some crazy ass fans out there. I just meant when they're like casually alone, it doesnt hurt to make someone's day by taking a picture with your fan.
