Indie Film Release Guide: December 20th [An ONTD Original]

Dec 19, 2019 12:53

This weekend is the start of several weeks in a row with little to offer in the way of new indie film releases, so if the post seems unusually short to you, it’s only because the offerings this time of year are pretty slim thanks to the domination of big studio competition like Cats and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. If it wasn’t in your area last week, Bombshell may now be in a theater near you, along with other films that may have expanded their releases.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: December 13th, December 6th, and November 27th.
