At worst, I expected #TheRiseOfSkywalker to be a well made movie that I didn't like or whose story choices I disagreed with. I was not expecting a genuinely bad movie with video game plotting, thin characters, weak action and endless exposition of no consequence. Heartbreaking...

I’ve seen #StarWarsTheRiseofSkywalker. It’s... a lot. There’s a lot I like and some I loved but overall my feelings are pretty mixed. It felt like an apology for The Last Jedi in some ways and a sequel to The Force Awakens in many, which I found frustrating. pic.twitter.com/6m8sOQWhTx

Well, #StarWarsRiseofSkywalker is a definitive end to the Skywalker Saga, and a mixed bag. There are moments of inventiveness and crowd pleasing, but much of it is forced. If you thought Game of Thrones was rushed at the end... Leia’s sendoff doesn’t work, but Kylo’s arc does. pic.twitter.com/VjYVwApH6f

watching the rise of skywalker is like telling an acquaintance you ate potato salad once and enjoyed it, and then having that acquaintance break into your home in the middle of the night, tie you to a chair, and mash potato salad into your face and eyes for 2+ hours

Also, I can confirm there is queer representation in #StarWars #TheRiseofSkywalker. It lasts maybe two seconds, and you may miss it entirely. Welp.

lmao im evil cackling at some of these. everyone hated TLJ and so it looks like they had JJ double down with the nostalgia, references and fanservice and forgot about a story.

Obvs I haven't seen the movie but this sounds accurate to the point!

I think that what they did! Fix Rian's mess by incorporating fanservice and nostalgia to fix/win back the fandom but it's 💩 💩 hitting the fan hard!!

the spoilers have kind of killed my excitement for the movie itself, but at least I'll probably have a lot of hilarious/viscous reviews to look forward to.

Doesn't sound like representation to me.

an ambiguously male blue slug alien is going to cast a longing look at a meerkat pilot thing shortly before he gets blown up https://t.co/SnHrYSdCOb
