On one hand I've heard other actors mention they hate watching themselves on screen. He had mentioned before that he does not like listening to himself on that radio show. He mentions it's because of self-critiquing himself (I'm kinda rme at this tbh). So I kinda get actors~ on that but w/e.

But on the other hand if this was actress, the diva claims would be everywhere. The amount of backflips and somersaults his fans are doing is ridiculous and it's only because it's him....any other actors and they'd be criticizing them to hell and back!!

Well I mean that's a nice choice. I remember Lin Manuel Miranda uploading a video on twitter when he was watching Fosse/Verdon and he had Michelle William in his house for the viewing party.

Michelle Williams mentioned that she does not like watching herself so what she did was she sat next to the TV where she heard herself but not watched.

Her reaction seems civil and Adam comes off like a hissy fit.

I remember Kim Basinger saying the same things years ago. I would have also had empathy if she removed herself from an environment where she didn’t feel comfortable due to that.

Yeah he's not the first nor last actor to speak like that BUUUUT his fans are being ridiculous over it.

Joaquin Phoenix and Michelle Williams have both mentioned similar things before.

I read the post on it here on ONTD (first and last couple of pages) and it was almost entirely dragging. I like Driver a lot so I might be categorized as some sort of irrational stan, but I think the default one should have regarding anyone that walked out on something that invoked a known phobia is empathy.

Also, it doesn’t have to be Terry Gross’s fault or anyone’s fault. Sometimes people have panic attacks.
