Crossposting from the first day of ONTD post because I think it's worth discussing but perhaps not enough as it's own post -
Context - she's a movie reviewer and former riverdale stan who made this because she was attacked and made to feel invalidated for her other movie opinions based on that.
The general statement made by this is that Riverdale is garbage but it's not alone in the way that it's garbage or for the reasons it is and that often instead of accurately reporting on what happened on the show itself and why that is an issue in canon the problem is retold in a more sensationalized way. Also, that Riverdale seems to have leaned into being memetic garbage for noise marketing but has greatly suffered due to this.
The whole video is good IMO but this is queued to a little over half way in where she gives a good example of this BUT I urge you to finish through the end where she points out how these problems exist in general teens media and have for at least a decade or more & does so with examples. (and to actually rewind to the beginning since this is a riverdale post but baby steps lol)
