Tbh I feel nothing was bigger than Beyonce.

First her visual album which everyone talked about and Flawless spawned so many thinkpieces and faux-feminist pop stars trying to cash in on the word.

And then Foundation alone even without Lemonade was bananas. Just look at SNL's The Day Beyonce Turned Black.

And "Becky with the good hair" which in turn made the hive attack poor Rachael Ray...wild.

yeah, Bey is alone in her current idol position. im not a stan, but the other pop girls are nothing compared to her in regards to global icon status

December 13, 2013 will forever be iconic. I'll never forget the ONTD post, I'm so glad I was up for that. I never go to bed before midnight cuz I'm going to miss out on something.

Yeah, like her or not, I don't think any artist this decade has had Beyoncé's pop culture impact. The fact that pretty much everything out of the self-titled became viral and is still being quoted to Lemonade following its footsteps... Her pure sales might not be Adele (or Taylor) level, but nobody else was as relevant as her.

Beyonce has made a cultural impact bigger than Adele and Taylor this decade. Maybe I'm reaching but Beyonce really helped usher in blackness to the mainstream for this latter half of the decade

The Day Beyoncé Turned Black still makes me laugh. “Guys...I don’t think this is for us?” “BUT EVERYTHING IS FOR US”

I knew a major Swiftie (literally has a signature tattoo) who tried to tell me that Taylor could do it. nah, everyone knew Taylor was working on an album, she's consistent with releases. nobody could just drop an album like Beyonce has TWICE.

I'd also add Beychella as probably the best live performance of the decade, and her having her backup dancers dress like Black Panthers at the motherfucking Super Bowl

Tbf Rachel Roy outed herself on that. Beyoncé never said anything other than “Becky with the good hair”. Rachel got bold and posted being the Becky with the good on IG bringing attention to herself. I felt bad for her kids getting that social media abuse but that’s her own fault for getting cocky.

I'm talking about how the hive confused the cook Rachael Ray for Rachel Roy and were sending her abuse.

Rachael took in it stride though and posted a recipe for lemonade lmao.
