Is it childhood or first pet?
I’ve been conflicted as to when I would change from my childhood first pet to my dog who I got as an adult.

My concern is I’d I should be retroactive when I make the switch. Otherwise I’ll be struggling if it was my childhood pet’s full name, shortened name, or my bff Rufus.

One of my cats was originally "Orange Man" but since 45, I've called him all sorts of things.
