Famous Poker Player Accused of Massive Cheating Scheme
Mike Postle, a poker player who shot to fame on the internet, has been accused of an elaborate cheating scheme.
The alleged cheating took place at a casino in Sacramento that would livestream some games on Twitch. Viewers noticed that Postle had a statistically impossible winning streak, earning more than $250,000 in 18 months at a low-stakes game. However, he did not excel at games that were not livestreamed.
When a commentator publicly accused him of cheating, the poker community turned on him.
If someone is displaying a probability of cheating on a live stream you don't make the entire room not be able to use their cellphones in an attempt to reduce everyone's anxiety and then still promote the player as one of the best.

A poker player named Joey Ingram made a meticulous five-hour live stream that exposed Postle's apparent cheating.
When the casino livestreamed games, it used cards made with technology that displayed them on viewers' computer screens, so anyone watching online could see each player's hand. Postle would allegedly wear technology in his hat and clothing to pick up on the vibrations of each card, so he could distinguish each player's hand.
The players who lost to him have filed lawsuits for $10 million. There is currently no criminal investigation.
