Her occasional blaccent~ aside she seems like a nice kid. I actually like that she mentioned fame taken a toll on her.
"mainly she has clinical depression and she gained fame that she didn't want at the time. She says she just wanted to hang out with her friends. Her parents said they kept a close watch and asked her frequently if what she was doing was what she wanted"
Eh idk what I'd do if I had a kid who managed to get big as a singer or actor at such a young age. Cause one hand this is exactly what they've always wanted but on the other hand it's too much at such a young age. And some many of them whether successful or not will say how the lack of childhood/teen years does affect them to a degree. I'd probably make them hold back on a career if they are in their teens.
I think back to people Britney and Beyoncé who both debuted at 17. And the press back then was even more savage, most of the pop girls now have more leeway~ to stand up for themselves to some extent.
The amount of inappropriate questions Bey and Brit got when they started... yikes And just the general way the industry sexualized them wouldn't fly now. I'm still mad af at what fame did to Britney :(
She actively supports and defends a horrific abuser (XXXtentacion), calling him a tortured genius and even made a tribute song for him. This is not @ you specifically, but I need people to remember that when they say this girl is so 'different' as a positive.
Her parents mention that will ask if she wants to keep going but I feel like that's a bit of a cop out. Most kids/teens will say they wanna keep going. The parent should absolutely step in when it gets bad.
