I see so many people placing this so high, I'm really confused. I am actually watching Parks and Rec for the first time (never got into it in its original run for whateve reason, and couldn't find it on any streaming services in Canada until I got Prime) and I really do like it, it's a great show, I love Leslie Knope, she's iconic hahaha, but I'm like ".... Brooklyn Nine Nine is much better" LOL

hm but I feel like that's partially why I was never able to get into B99? like it's very funny but when I watched the first few eps years ago I was like "okay this is just Parks and Rec but with cops" and I just can't shake that feeling. B99 may very well be the superior show that is the perfected version of P&R so it's a good thing you watched it first lol ( ... )

That's actually a great point. 2 of my friends, while they do really like B99 they are die hard Parks and Rec fans, and I think for them it's what they watched/fell in love with first

And you're so right about the optimish of government that is so hard to watch, LOL, it is a very Obama-era show, and you can tell that it was made before the era of Trump, we are in such a different world today that it's weird watching it almost

I feel the same way about the West Wing, which I LOVE, one of the best shows ever in my opinion, but it was made in a completley different time

30 rock is so underrated from what ive seen, its hilarious

parks & rec def had its faults, and it hasnt aged well but for some reason it makes me incredibly happy when im in a depressive episode so that show will ever be close to my heart lol
