not completely OT but i just want to get fucking ripped and healthy. like, i hate seeing celebs have a glow up because they have time and money (and sponsorships and plastic surgery we haven't heard of yet) to help them get it together and i'm working three jobs and neglecting my art just to eat and live (with multiple people) and it's so hard to squeeze a damn workout in when i can either do that or meal prep or put a damn mask on my face in the only three hours i have to myself at night.
sorry to rant but i got really sick and stopped working out and i'm trying to pick up the pieces of my life (including making healthy choices) so some conservative asshole bro selling workout shit on amazon is really fucking frustrating to me!
i feel you. i've been sick and having surgery soon so i won't be allowed to stretch my muscles to do what i usually do to exercise, and i tend to sit on my ass all day for work, so I've been thinking of buying an exercise bike so i can work or relax watching tv or read while exercising without having to factor in driving time to the gym on icy roads and stretching my muscles so much... it's just scary to think about trying something new, and, you know, spending a lot of money lol
Omg I am in the same place where I fell terribly out of shape because of my health issues. Became like 220 at one point in pounds because of it and literally just by getting up and living a ‘normal’ life again with an every day routine aka leaving the house and working and having my health back in order, all that weight just melted off. However, my biggest problem was that I lost a lot of muscle and still don’t have that the way I did and I’m so out of shape now, compared to how I’ve been mostly all my life, that I want to give up the second I try to work out.
I just want to be physically strong and healthy and I probably should have done physical therapy during my recovery but that is another issue.
You can create your own diet after taking a complete quizz on this site https://www.joyfulbelly.com/. I was doing it for fun and realized the information and results are awesome
No offense here, truly, but if you are relying on websites like pinterest to give you some insight as to what you can eat, what harm is it to take a quick quiz on a low quality website? The holistic approach to medicine has been incredibly helpful for people in times where western medicine didn't exist but people with autoimmune diseases likely did. Just trying to understand why you'd poo all over a harmless quiz but lean on definitely-not-doctors posting recipes on their websites (unless, of course, those people posting recipes include notes that they were helped by a medical dietician.)

go off, sis, but i took the test and it was actually pretty scarily accurate but also incredibly useless in terms of it actually suggesting foods and a diet and all that so SHRUGS. i'm sorry my comment offended you, i can see it made you really upset, and i'm sorry that the healthcare system is failing you. i hope something works! i don't know how else to respond to all of this, tbh, so just gonna go on about my evening, and i hope you feel better and truly find some docs that can help you.
If the quizz bothers you skip it and search for "autoimmune" https://www.joyfulbelly.com/Ayurveda/articles?SEARCH=Autoimmune For example, in the article Autoimmune Disorders, you will find a link to this specific disorder diet. But other articles may be helpful, too. Just in case you're not completely uninterested
honestly... i don't but then when i see a post on my favorite pop culture site about one of the chrises selling their work out secrets i can't help but think about it
I feel you, I started last May and saw results and then in August my grandma died and it threw my whole schedule/home life. But I'm getting back to it. I started eating better, that's huge because I exercised for a month before changing diet and until after I ate better I saw results. I did stuff I saw on YouTube. Found a 5 minute warm up routine, then 6 minute standing up and I found an arm routine that I liked that is 6 minutes. I have a few videos that I check out depending on how busy/tiring my day was so I still do something even if I'm tired. It really does help understand we are never going to look like people online/on TV with their resources
I feel you. I'm fucking exhausted 90% of the time. I commute 1 - 1 1/2 hours each way going to work because of traffic and it drains me so that by the time I get home I don't want to do a damn thing. But god forbid I find a job closer to where I live, i'll be making fucking peanuts and won't survive. I just want to get decent rest, eat right, get to exercise and still live my life and get to do shit I enjoy!
