I think her whole marketing scam is particularly pernicious. She targets young teenaged girls who are at that particular moment of extreme insecurity and doubt and offers them "friendship," that's her whole thing, that all of her fans are her friends, so if you have young girls who aren't succeeding socially with their peers or have anxiety or whatever, they're a very vulnerable group to whom she is offering something completely fake in order to sell albums and all this bullshit merch. I'm almost astounded sometimes how low-effort the crap she puts out is, but it works because they're so enamored of her whole schtick that they'll buy whatever she puts out. It makes me really sad, idk, and even sadder that she gets all these accolades for what is essentially cult-like predation tactics.
