i feel like supporting actor this year is far more competitive than it was last year (and it was weak as fuck last year, and he still didn't get a nom) so... unless sony really markets this well, i can see another snub

It's funny because both the male leading and supporting categories are jam packed this year and very competitive and it seems like the best actress category is weak, like they can barely find five actresses to nominate and same with best supporting actress. ScarJo is eligible for two movies and so is Margot Robbie and the everyone else is scrambling.

I had forgotten about Renee for a moment, and I think she has a good chance of winning. But ScarJo is gonna get nominated for A Marriage Story in any case.
