how were the characters even introduced? was there even a plot? did they nod the cam, drew and lucy one?

The 2000s ones are canon. There is a plot. 3rd angel is not actually an angel in the film, just a client/witness so the movie is how they meet her. Loved Jane, still don’t understand Kristen in this movie and thought she was so out of place.
