Whoopi says the film isn’t political, it’s about the environment, because the environment doesn’t care if you’re left or right, it affects everyone. MR says the enormity of it hits you, probably one of the greatest coverups in the world and it affects everyone. PFOA is found in eagle eggs, it’s in 99% of all living creatures and it bio-accumulates, and it’s definitively linked to 6 diseases. MR said by the time he started to get into it, there were already people in Hollywood trying to get the rights to the story. Sunny talks about the people of WVa, kudos to Bilott for using his law degree. RB says we’re talking about a massive public health threat, gives some background. One of the biggest contamination stories in history but most people don’t know about it. Info was withheld and covered up for years. Joy talks about T45 rolling back many environmental regulations, including the clean water act. MR says that’s disastrous. [DuPont scandal] transcends any one admin, it’s been going on for 50 yrs.
