Apple's first big feature The Banker, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie, has been pulled out of its closing slot at AFI Fest tomorrow night. The film was supposed to have its world premiere at the festival, followed by a theatrical release on December 6th, but reportedly these plans are now on hold due to "concerns" - read at the source for more info.

Apple's statement:

“We purchased The Banker earlier this year as we were moved by the film’s entertaining and educational story about social change and financial literacy. Last week some concerns surrounding the film were brought to our attention. We, along with the filmmakers, need some time to look into these matters and determine the best next steps. In light of this, we are no longer premiering The Banker at AFI Fest. ”

Marriage Story, which has already been in release for a couple of weeks, will replace The Banker at the festival.
