yes, grammys don't care for boybands
one direction was never nominated, and other huge boybands like BSB never won (but they were nominated for AOTY once). Still they were massive and grammys never cared

jobros had a huge hit this year, what hit did BTS have? And BSB had been nominated before, they are veterans. But like I said they never won because they are a boy band
One direction were ignored too, and their popularity was the same as BTS (I think even bigger)

I totally get 1D being ignored, they rarely charted beyond Story of My Life. But BTS charted, and had insanely album sales this year.

one direction had 5 songs that charted on the top10 of billboard, not only "story of my life"
And the BTS feat Halsey song had not much longevity, compared to the jobros song there is a big difference

BSB are veterans that were nominated for AOTY once so they are more respected by the grammys, that's why they nominated them last year in their comeback. But they still didn't win

I wouldn't be surprised if that 'best-selling' is due to obsessed fans buying hundreds of copies of the same album to inflate the numbers and break records for their own ego. Outside their crazy fanbase, nobody else is checking for them.
