'Ford v Ferrari' dashes into the weekend box office with $2.1 Million on Thursday night

FOX/Disney's Oscar bait 'Ford v Ferrari' kicked off this weekend's box office with $2.1M from Thursday night previews in the U.S./Canada, and is anticipated to make around $30 million (on a pricey $97 million budget).
Right behind it is Sony's latest 'Charlie’s Angels' reboot, which made a not-so-great $900,000 in Thursday night previews, and is expected to bank $12-13 million this weekend (on a $48 million budget).
Also out in theaters is 'The Good Liar' starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, which is expected to make around $5M-$9M this weekend.
In select theaters this weekend are 'Waves', 'The Report,' and 'All Rise'.
