I did not get very far but that seemed to start really rough?

I know ONTD tends to have blinders on when it comes to Niall cuz he's charming and inoffensive enough but I feel like this era has lowkey started a bit rough for him. I think his team/label was sure that NTMY was gonna be a SH like hit but it's not taking off nearly the same way and they are throwing everything at it with radio play, discounts and remixes with bigger names. His North America tour dates with Lewis Capaldi went onsale last week and the early sales are not good if not outright bad. Most of the venues don't even have a sizeable dent sold yet and all but one show already has bulk ticket sale deals most for under $20. It just seems like the wheels are maybe falling off a bit or his team/label are just overestimating/overboking him

Lol I winced at the first few moments of circles and just skipped through to see if it got better and it stayed middling to bad, his own song sounded better within his own limitations.

You're going to bring out all the people who swear Niall has the best career out of all of them! White men with guitars who are deemed nice and harmless always get talked up so much even if their talents and performance are mostly pedestrian. He did manage to turn that horrendous snoozefest of a debut song into a 2x platinum seller by sheer doggedness and performing it at every single show he could for a year, he might drag this through as well, but Slow hands has really been his biggest and most noticeable hit and I don't know if he can replicate it.

It was crazy that he promoted the hell out of his debut for the better part of year but at least at the time you could tell he was trying to get ahead of the others. His radio support is frankly kind of insane for the numbers he pulls elsewhere so I could see this song being at least a moderate hit on the back of that support.

With tour already scheduled for next year how much of that promo is he gonna be able to do though. Especially if he's already facing an uphill battle trying to sell tickets. I just don't see how that is sustainable long term. He already discounted the hell out of his tour tickets last year. If he does it 2 tours in a row I don't get how is anyone making any $.

My friend and I had so much fun at his last tour but when we saw the prices for this one? No way. Especially after the last tour’s tickets resold for half the cost.

Still holding out for a drop. I can’t justify $150 for a Niall Horan concert. The price of concert tickets are disgusting.

WTF - his last tour I paid $40 - now he's charging as much as I paid for good Kendrick Lamar seats 😂???? (plus at the same venue with a fraction of the name recognition, YIKES)

I was *shocked* at how the arena he's booked this time around in my city (Phx) is exponentially larger than the venue from 2017 (~30K vs ~5K seating) and I wouldn't say his popularity has noticeably increased since then (I could be wrong on that since i ain't checking for him). I was like damn @ that confidence.

His 2017 tour struggled especially his US dates so it’s even more “shocking” they jumped to arenas. The stage set up is not 360 so he’s not trying to fill entire arenas but it still seems like a large jump from previous tour that already didn’t sell amazingly well.

exactly - what are they thinking?!? they're already giving away tons of tickets on the radio and his show is 6 months away lmao. Not even Harry has the nerve to do this!

I follow Niall on all social media and every other day he’s begging fans to stream the song it’s pretty embarrassing

As for the tour, I was surprised until i saw the prices. Seats in the front block are like $300 so no wonder no one is buying them. Harry just sold out the forum but tickets were only $25
