Don Cherry fired from Hockey Night in Canada
After making racist remarks during his Coach's Corner segment on Hockey Night in Canada this past Saturday, Don Cherry has been fired by Sportsnet from the weekly broadcast.
The Canadian Broadcasting Standards Council received so many complaints about Cherry and his comments that the website used to file complaints was shut down, with the CBSC stating that it "received a large number of very similar complaints concerning Coach’s Corner broadcast ..., exceeding the CBSC’s technical processing capacities."
