I do wonder if it’s easier for influencer to fake the amount of likes they get now though, they can just photoshop a higher number when brands request it and no one will know (cause you can still see the amount of likes on your own photos, right? or did they end up scrapping that idea?)

Really... all these changes are stupid and they are killing their own app.... if Instagram wanted to make a positive change they would monitor comments and reports better and bring back chronological order.

why in the world is chronological order not the standard? it boggles my mind that anyone would think that the optimum way of viewing posts...is out of order. also yes re:reporting i've reported so much bigoted/hateful shit only for a response that it doesn't qualify.

the "no visible likes" thing has been testing in Canada for months and honestly... I don't even notice? You can see your own likes and I don't give a fuck about the amount of likes other people are getting... so... it's fine

I have been LOVING it (Canadian too). Whenever I post an artsy or concert pic on my personal insta, it'll only get a few likes compared to person pics - and it did used to make me feel kind of sad to post them but now that I'm the only one who sees the likes, I post whatever I want without feeling like I'll look lame.

Their algorithm or whatever they use will still know the likes and for professional/business accounts I'm sure getting more likes will still matter. I still like being able to check them on my bookstagram. But for personal, I really don't need to know #s for friends and acquaintances.
