This show is so much better than I expected it to be. The special effects are super cheesy but the characters are likeable. All I want is for MG to be happy.

Yeah initially I didn't want to watch it either but then it oddly became my favourite compared to other new shows that premiered. But then this same thing happened to me with The Originals. "Oh she's pregnant how stupid and Twilight of them" to two episodes later when I suddenly couldn't stop watching lol.

I have never seen the show, but what is Julie Plec's obsession with decade dances? TVD did the 60s, 70s, 20s, and 80s.

Is it just me or is the makeup on Hope so much better this season than last? She's so pretty but I remember last season thinking she was very blank last season.

Is the show easy to follow if you have never watched Vampire Diaries?

I actually stopped watching TVD when all the stuff that heavily influences the twin characters started happening and I could still follow their story fine enough. You just need to know who's the daughter of who, but they never appear anyway so it's not a BIG thing.
