Nah, this has already all the markings of his failings. He basically sidelines the established canon and characters to focus on his own invented bullshit that turns out to be utterly pointless; he cheats at every corner and asks us to feel for something while he never actually manages to properly reason why we should care. He just declares that we should care but never puts in the footwork.
For a long time I didn’t know that my favorite episodes during Ten’s time were mostly written by him, and it made me feel gross after I found out. I guess he’s fine with episode one offs but not when he’s managing the whole thing bc then it’s all one big stupid misogynistic convoluted plot
agree, but also he didnt have creative control in those eps so he was edited and needed approval for his ideas, so im sure we have other to thatnk for them being contained.
