She has a point. Also I'm enjoying the mental image of her being carried out the second she goes to kneel.

Her response is odd..are you not taking it because you don’t wanna get dragged or is it because you care about the social injustices against black people?

I take it as she was hesitant anyway because of the "persecution" as she put it, but then when the other stuff happened she was like, yeah nah.

No doubt she would have her kids out there kneeling too. So she could take a photo, post it on her Instagram, wait for comments calling her a bad mom and then play the victim.

A++ for the callback to Janet Jackson tho.

The NFL owes her an apology for 2004, that was the first time I ever heard of the Super Bowl and it sounded so shitty, the way they treated her. Bunch of old fart pearl-clutchers.

this is OT but still from the actual Pink billboard article:

“He’s also confident she’ll over-index in the voice-activation space as Amazon devices and competitors become more common in homes, noting that P!nk is “one of those rare artists that appeal to the entire family, and that is a bull’s-eye for in-room playback.”

ok, i know that amazon tracks what people say but its weird to hear an exec specifically care about what people request to alexa 🥴

edit: ok i know people hate pink, rightfully so, but what she said in this article in regards to the NFL isn’t bad soooo idk. seeing myself out before this post gets messy lol

These digital assistants wig me out and I don't understand why people are so eager to bring them into their homes.

They seem so unnecessary to me, is it that hard to turn on music yourself and whatever else people use them for? Some conveniences are definitely worthwhile but some just promote laziness, just because you can have someone or something else do something for you doesn't mean you should, there's value in doing things yourself and looking things up yourself. I'll say this until I'm blue in the face but a lot of people have allowed themselves to be convinced they have way less time than they do, and then confuse not wanting to do something with not being able to.

"Now you can yell what music you want to hear!" Because typing it in takes so much longer? We've always frowned upon people talking to things/people that weren't there, but now there's AI involved we can talk whatever?
