Sons always inherit before daughters everywhere but Dorne.

If daughters were in the line of succession properly Viserys would never have been King though. Rhaenys would have been heir when Aemon died. They literally had just passed over Rhaenys at the Great Council to give the throne to her cousin Viserys and her son Laenor was considered before her. It is like how Bran is heir to Winterfell and Rickon is his heir, Sansa & Arya are after them.

Daenerys was the end of her family line and only hope to continue when her brothers were dead and they had no living legitimate children. There was no obvious male claimant so I feel way more for her than I do Rhaenyra (who would have led to war anyway trying to put her bastards with Harwin Strong on the throne after her instead of her legitimate children).

Idk what this comment is... Like why are you teling me how succession works in Westeros as if I don't know? And it doesn't change the fact that some women got fucked over by men.

Especially Rhaenyra, who was always considered the heir by her father even after he could have chosen his son to succeed him, until the Hightowers decided they wanted more power and just crowned Aegon after Viserys' death, and people supported him for the same dumb reason we got to see (badly) play out in S8, aka ewwww women.

This isn't a contest between Rhaenyra and Dany. The former was groomed to be Queen and the latter fought her way to the top to reclaim what her family had lost. In the end, both got screwed over because of their sex.

I personally cared about Daenerys and wanted a better ending for her than being murdered by her lover. I was invested in her character after years of the show/books. She didn't need to rule in the end but I wanted a better ending for her and have a big problem with her being villainized for things that happened during Aegon's Conquest - which are not viewed that way
