I’d be surprised if they touch RR, there’s still an aura of mystery around it in the books. Maybe they’ll undo the stupid “it was built on a lie” bullshit from season 7, though.
(i get your point, like black widow's origin film even tho she died)
then, like me, maintain the theory that she survived, drogon took her to essos or wherever daario was in control of, and she made it through and swore to kill those stark bastards
It will also be more women getting fucked over by men. If they ever get to Rhaenyra, we'll see yet another Targ woman denied her birthright and getting killed by her relative. yaaaay....
I still don't understand the point of this show when we know the story and how it ends
as I said in the other post, the only Targaryen show I want is one where it's revealed Bran Buttigieg warged into Dany to make her seem evil and my girl is redeemed
otherwise, what's the point of watching a series about a family who is doomed to evil madness?
i mean, most book to movie/series adaptations are completed prior to filming right? plus, there is a lot that we don't know, questions that the show may answer.
I mean who am I kidding, I'll watch it, but the question of whether Targaryens were at all redeemable was pretty much answered with Game of Thrones. It's not about the details or knowing the ending, it's why do I want to explore a family that is coded as doomed evil Nazis?
they better have some really original ideas is all I'm saying.
I suspect they figured it would be like the Star Wars prequels. Everyone knew how it ends and went to see them.
I think Dany was supposed to get darker but I think the show whitewashed Arya, Tyrion, Jon, etc.. and they look like will also get darker in the books just like her. I have doubts Martin told them she ends up like Hitler, but I would like to know what he told them.
The series is co-created by @GRRMSpeaking and Ryan Condal. Miguel Sapochnik will partner with Condal as showrunner and will direct the pilot and additional episodes. Condal will be writing the series. pic.twitter.com/9ttMzElgXm - Game of Thrones (@GameOfThrones) October 29, 2019

Anyway, here's HBO's tweet. Also, Miguel Sapochnik will be one of the showrunners.:
