First proper reactions are in for Greta Gerwig's 'Little Women' movie, and awards talk is aplenty

#LittleWomen: Gerwig makes this material her own in delightful ways you’d expect and some adult-meditation-on-childhood ways I didn’t. So rewarding to see the ease with which she paints on this canvas and that she (or any director these days) was given it.

I'm only watching this for Saoirse. She is my fave young actress.

and I'm glad Emma Watson tried.

#LittleWomen is delightful, Saorise Ronan is at her best ever & while she doesn’t send any boys to death in a burning bear suit, @Florence_Pugh makes Meryl Streep her bitch. Greta Gerwig kicks ass behind the camera yet again. Emma Watson tries.

I will see it because I like everyone involved except Watson, but I have such a soft spot for Winona's version it's hard for me to think I will love it :3

Winona's version to me is perfection. But it also makes it hard for me to understand why Jo didn't pick Laurie. Even though I've read all the books and see Jo being happy, I always think "Laurie and Jo made so much more sense."

What's worse is that Louis Mae Alcott didn't put them together just because everyone wanted it.

If the story had been released as one book instead of published chapter by chapter in some magazine, it might have been a different story.
