At the risk of opening some terrifying darkness at the heart of the universe: What was the movie or TV show where two people playing family members had the most sexual chemistry?

VOX TV critic Emily VanDerWerff did a fun twitter thread about tv and movie siblings with the most inappropriate sexual chemistry

[some answers]

(This tweet was brought to you by Lodge 49, but it appears I am the only person who feels like Wyatt Russell and Sonya Cassidy -- who play siblings -- have anything other than brother/sister chemistry.)

I mean, they were married to eachother in real life! pic.twitter.com/J87PW0a2YH

I remember it was weird on Heroes because Ventimiglia and Panettiere felt super flirty even though they were playing uncle and niece. (Hall and Carpenter’s real life romance never felt obtrusive in Dexter, making the “Deb is in love with him” storyline all the worse)

Life with Derek. It was VERY uncomfortable.

Also Rachel Griffiths and Jeremy Sisto on Six Feet Under. Damn, Sisto!

I don't know if this is "most", but PARENTHOOD is definitely a contender. Lauren Graham and Peter Krause have obvious sparks from early on, and the later season had several scenes with Mae Whitman and Miles Heizer where it seemed like they were about to make out.

I was going to say Firefly but I think Simon and River's chemistry is actually more *romantic* than purely sexual.

There's a lot of it regardless.

On Brothers and Sisters, Dave Annable and Emily VanCamp had so much chemistry, the writers figured out a way to un-sibling them so they could hook up. It was super creepy.

early season one Arrow's Thea and Oliver Queen were super weird around each other, like the actors only knew how to do a romantic form of intimacy - quickly smoothed out as eps went though, I will say
