- Sharon Stone spoke with "Allure" for their The end of anti aging edition.

-Stone on if her idea of power has changed: Stone "As I grew older, I gained the power of stardom. I thought I had the power of being a powerful woman in Hollywood. But at that time, there was no such thing. My career was short and sketchy. It was a false power. I got to make a few movies that were mostly picked, written and sold by men. When I got ill (Stone had a stroke in 2001), I wasn't able to come back to the business like a man. I was sent to the back of the line to do episodic television, to scratch my way back. There's no power as a has-been movie star. Now I'm discovering what real power is.The power of dignity, to maintain my health and my home".

-On her AIDS organization's: Stone" No AIDS organizations agree to work together because they all want to compete for a cure. It's as competitive as Hollywood".

-On Harvey Weinstein: Stone"I had a contract for a production company with Miramax, which was very complicated, and I was never much of a massage-giver".

- On if "Basic Instinct" could be made today; Stone" I think "Basic Instinct" was made at the right moment n history because it captured all our fears and doubts and the moment of change of power for woman. I doubt it would that it would have any form of sensationalism it had at the time. When I began my career, there were only two ways we were allowed to sit: cross at the ankles or ankles under the chair".

-On being grafeful for her body now: Stone"I started to understand that I was going to go for being more like a European woman who got more beautiful with age and who could understand that women are more beautiful than girls because they know something".

-On loneliness; Stone "I absolutely get lonely.it would be false to say that the happiness of my solitude doesn't come sometimes with the melancholy of aloneness. but no one is going to find the beauty of genuine love through flagrant promiscuity".

-On famous women helping her at the beginning of her career: Stone"I was very lucky, so many woman who had been famous before me were so good to me.Faye Dunaway and Shirley MacLaine, they told me it won't last forever, enjoy every minute of it. Don't do drugs. Don't be a party girl, go home early, write thank you notes.Faye took me to the premiere of " Basic Instinct" held my hand and told me everything to do".
