I watched it last night and really liked it! I mentioned this in Roundup but I immediately liked that it's Going There with addressing white supremacy head-on.

And it looks like* racists are mad lol

Those mad about #WatchmenHBO being "too woke"...uh...have you read Watchmen?https://t.co/w4J5KKuRmL

We just watched the first episode last night, and I am definitely intrigued!

Regina King is always great, and it's excellent to see her in a leading role.

I liked the actor playing her husband in Black Mirror, but so far he seems kind of wooden in this.

Loved the heavy use of Oklahoma throughout; a musical with a dark heart seems to fit very well thematically with the show and its setting. And I should have seen the end coming from the song they used for the show title - "Pore Jud is Daid". I've always thought the last line of that song was one of the creepiest things in the musical.

I am curious to see where they go from here.

I only saw the movie and didn't read the comics which the show is more closely related to so it explains stuff like the squids etc. lol (and yeah I've basically been reading up about the alt timeline of the comics)

Can you spoil me about the squids? I was so confused last night after watching ep1. Hubs and I enjoyed it but were left with a lot of unanswered questions since neither read the comics either.

Oh man, that's gonna be tough to watch but I'm glad they're bringing attention to it. So many people even Black people don't know about that event.

It was emotional to watch! I definitely didn't learn about it in school or anything.

Mmmk so I just read the entire plot summary of the comic and then I read what this new show is all about and now I'm incredibly interested tbh. I didn't know it was a sequel series, I thought it was a TV show version of the same story.

It's weird because the marketing was like "this is a remix" because like... what does that even mean?? (Part of why I didn't watch as it aired but then saw how much people liked it so gave it a try a day later.) They should've just said it was a sequel to the comic tbh!
