I think the real appeal is the fact that people who work in art tend to come from family money, and they have their own thing going on so they won’t be threatened by their wife’s success (at least in theory.)

This. Both partners move in creative circles but are separate enough that the men don’t feel overshadowed by their clearly more successful girlfriend/wife.
Yeah I think Ash Olsen will end up marrying Louis and I think the fact that he’s got his own money and Thing helps. MK married someone w his own fortune and career, too. Unfortunately they dealt w people always trying to use them to climb ladders when they were younger so I’m just glad they’re happy. I hope Jennifer is happy, too. I know it’s the cynical job of ONTD to be like ehhh I give them a year~ but if she’s found someone that won’t exploit her, good.
