Joy talks she was just in London, and went to Betchley Park, talks Enigma Code, re/BC previous film, Alan Turing The Imitation Game. Topic for both of them, they’re both climate change activists. MS took his daughter to see Greta Thunberg. Talks joining protests at Trafalgar Square. Joy says some are calling those in the entertainment business hypocritical. BC says sure, he lobbied to do the interview by webchat, talks details of what dire circumstances we’re facing. Felt the media wanted to attack the messenger rather than listen to the message.
Whoopi talks MS being on Broadway with Audra McDonald. Moves to the film, talks Edison vs Westinghouse. They talk the history of the film, the men’s rivalry. Gets a little science-y. Sunny says in the battle of getting the technology out to the masses, it resulted in (example) the invention of the electric chair. BC says the heart of the film is when you work together. People revere Edison but he was actually a grouchy puss. Sunny brings up The Shape of Water, says MS first film was Groundhog Day.
Fun fact: The film premiered at TIFF in 2017 (!) then it was tabled because it was previously under The Weinstein Company. Another distributor picked it up, and it will be released this weekend 25 October in US.

Tulsi is polling 1-2% but still in the race, covered by Fox, endorsed by David Duke, never actually renounced the Russian support (20 bot sites). Joy says, She called Hillary a war monger [which is weird because she uses her war experience?], but doesn’t deny the claim. Hillary isn’t going to run, so what is Tulsi trying to do. Whoopi has the hiccups and talks about her bra. Idk. Plays clip. Meghan is in her feelings about how tough it’s been since she’s been pregnant and gave birth. Joy wonders about nannies, Abby says they don’t really have an entourage. Abby says people assume their life is one way, but no one really knows. No one ever asks the moms if they’re ok. Abby talks mom drain. Shows photo of her as a baby, relates to her children, appreciates her parents.
Documentary with Harry and Megan, which also highlights their trip to Africa, will air on ABC Wednesday @ 10PM.

Pratt [shared photo of a burnt bagel bite that looked like a scallop] wrote Proud of my darling for trying to cook tonight. Did it go well? No. No it did not. Not at all. To quote Rocky Balboa, “It’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get up... and keep moving forward.” As you can tell from the lump of coal in the center of the plate, this bagel bite never stood a chance. I honestly simply cannot imagine what went wrong here. Pretty simple. Microwave. 2 minutes. Maybe she thought it said 2 hours. But I want to commend her for her effort. This is a big step babe. Proud of you.

Abby says the others are great cooks. She put toast in the oven and remembered it the next day. Joy doesn’t think cooking has any bearing on a happy marriage, gives examples with her family. Sunny says she loves to cook, it’s one of her love languages, thinks she partially snagged Manny with good cooking, Joy says No it was her boobs 😲. Whoopi doesn’t like to cook. The panel chastises Joy about (not) getting her lasagna. Whoopi tells story about gift giving, she wanted scratch-offs, Joy wouldn’t do that, so she made lasagna, Whoopi said it was the best ever, so that’s how the tradition started.
