In next week's SVU episode, 3 rapes are investigated at once. For some reason, all 3 victims show up at the precinct at midnight, so the squad is spread thin. Probably because "the squad" is like 3 people.

what pisses me off SOOOOOOOOOO much is that normally, given the work they do, even among cops you'll find those that work sex crimes are overwhelmingly pro-choice. they have had the education and understand what a trauma it can be. let alone the legal implications of the states that force you to give your rapist parental rights while they are in prison. so you, the rape victim, has to take your kid to prison to visit the rapist for visitation. it's incredibly fucked up, and from the ones i've seen, and no, i ain't pro cop, the sex crimes/svu (depends on where you're at what it's called) are very very pro choice.

but this show is so damn conservative it's flying a blue lives matter flag next to a Catholicism one so..

It didn’t used to be so conservative though - and when I’m watching earlier episodes and reading the user reviews of them (I know, I like to live on the edge), there’s always bitching about “liberal agenda” and “too PC”. I wonder if they changed head writers or something? It’s weird and not good.

they've had a few the last handful of years. Warren Leight is back as show runner. last i heard anyway. but honestly considering how much the network protects sex offenders and trump, i just assume the conservative bend comes from the top.

Maybe it's only because I 80/20 this shit to begin with, but...did I miss some subplot about Carisi wanting to be ADA?

At this point bb, we are here for you and occasionally catching up on old eps, reminiscing about those we liked, and kvetching about what a mess this show has become. (probably always was)

So how was your week outside of needing sleep?

Get some rest and feel better OP.

I liked the new detective, Tamin? I liked how she called out Carisi on his views of abortion. Carisi is clearly religious but thinks that a women can get an abortion if she is a victim of rape or incest. She challenged him and asked why do women have to be victims first before they can make decisions on their own bodies.
