I came to the comments just to ask about this. I can only find the remastered dub where they removed all the american music. Just let me enjoy my inferior childhood nostalgia!

I didn't know that! I still know the songs in that movie. They were my jam as a kid.

...I thought there was news like, one day ago saying Ghibli was committed to the theatrical experience and wouldn't do streaming?

lol I was just about to comment about this!!

I read this yesterday on av club "But if you haven’t seen a Studio Ghibli movie in the theater, and don’t own any of the DVDs or Blu-rays, you are out of luck. Polygon announces today that the prestigious studio’s films like Kiki’s Delivery Service and Spirited Away may never be available for streaming. Says Polygon: “According to GKids, which currently owns the North American distribution rights to Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli’s films, there are no plans to place the collection on Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, or the like"

They were quoting a year old comment from the GKids president and pretending like it was new.

If you have a regular HBO subscription with your cable provider will you be able to stream this stuff as well or need an additional subscription? It sounds bad but I see pirating being on the uptick again with all these separate subscription services. It's too damn much.

additional subscription. i believe in terms of content it's

HBO MAX has everything HBOGO/HBONow has and then some

but then it's like why would anyone continue to pay for just HBONow??? also will there be a cheaper option for people that already have HBOGO through their provider???
