I can’t get into this podcast.
I love classic film but the voice of the woman who does the podcast sounds like she’s reading in English class.
She’s so monotone.

I really want her to stop them. In her Marilyn eps, I was so mad about her impression of Marilyn. It honestly sounded like she was mocking her?

i like the monotony of her voice bc it helps me fall asleep lol. a lot of the things she includes in her reporting are false though, which is ironic given the fact that she did a series on 'hollywood babylon.'

Would love to know what she's said that's false. I don't know enough about her topics to tell what's true and what isn't.

Exactly. It would be a good listen while doing housework, but she has no idea about voice work and it's so annoyoing. She tries to make her content seem profound by pronouncing every single syllable with the same stress and by slowing down her delivery to the same speed. It's so bad it seems like parody or something meant for English-learners.

Yeah, I'm not a native English speaker but the way she talks drives me crazy with how deliberately she slows down while putting a weird unnatural stress on syllables, it makes me so sad because I would love to listen to this podcast based on its topic but I cannot listen to her and I've never experienced anything like it.
