Jared Leto, who played the Joker in Suicide Squad, was reportedly upset that he was pretty much cut out of the film after filming many scenes. He had expected to do spin-off films, including one with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.

The studio instead opted to go with a standalone movie starring Joaquin Phoenix. Leto is reportedly upset he's been dropped while Phoenix receives critical acclaim, Oscar buzz and huge box office returns.
