Under the deal, he will develop television projects exclusively for Apple’s upcoming streaming service.

This is not Cuarón's first foray into television: He previously co-created the NBC drama “Believe,” (One season, 2014). He also wrote and directed for the Mexican anthology series “La Hora Marcada.”

Of course, we know him for such films as "Gravity" and "Roma".

Shyamalan has very big ambitions for "Servant"

So this isn't necesseraily a dubious source, but from a secondhand person who was at NYCC for the actual "Servant" panel on the AppleTV+ subreddit and got some info from media reps.

I won't post it all to follow the rules, & if this breaks the rules, fair enough:

  • A full trailer was shown, won’t come out for another 3 to 4 weeks.
  • He wants AppleTV+ original Servant to run 60 episodes, half hour each, over six years.
  • “I want you unable to do something else [while watching],” Shyamalan said. He also described the deliberation that went into every detail of directing - from the framework to the textures and colors shown on screen, all designed to make the audience feel something.
  • Because the show is so character-driven, it was important to find the right cast, which Shyamalan said came together like it was meant to be:
