-A former NBC news employee named Brooke Nevils has come forward with claims that Matt Lauer raped her in a hotel room in 2014 during the Network's coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

-The allegation appears in Ronan Farrow's new book, "Catch and Kill" which is about his investigation into Harvey Weinstein that comes out October 15, 2019.

-Both sources in this post detail Nevils' experience (but Variety has the most detailed account which they reported after receiving an advance copy of Farrow's book) and she also claims that NBC staff were well aware of what happened and it made her work life "torture."
