Ang Lee shot his new film Gemini Man in 4K 3D at 120 frames per second. And if you were hoping to see the film the way Lee shot it, well I got some bad news for you... Not a single theater in America is capable of doing so.

Only 14 theaters are set to show the film in 120fps 3D, but will be doing so at 2K resolution and not 4K. Every other theater showing the film in 3D will be doing so at 60fps in 4K, including IMAX showings.

Paramount had to install a new projection system for the films premiere, as the TCL Chinese theater was not equipped to properly show the film. The projector, for some reason, is not sticking around while the films plays there.

Lee shot his last film, Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, in the same format and only 2 theaters in the US were able to show it properly. Lynn was a box office bomb.

This one might be as well, as it currently has a brutal 35 on both Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes, with much criticism coming from what's called its bland and generic plot.
