In his recent interview with Vanity Fair, Joaquin Phoenix said that he hasn’t spoken to his best friend and former brother in law, Casey Affleck “in many years.”

“My sister and him divorced,” Phoenix said. “And I haven’t spoken directly to him or indirectly in a long time. Three or four years.”

In 2010, Casey Affleck was sued for sexual harassment by two women who had worked on the film, I'm Still Here. Per the Mary Sue: One of the allegations detailed in the lawsuit described an incident involving Casey and Joaquin locking the two women out of their hotel room, so the pair could have sex with other women.

Phoenix did not discuss the allegations with Vanity Fair, but told the magazine that he did not any witness sexual misconduct. A link to an article about the allegations against Casey.
