Yeah, that "tell me what to do and I'll do it" is still kind of crappy because it's like, if the woman forgets to mention to her husband that he should pick the kids up from school half the week, and she's not satisfied by him doing his one dish every other day instead of emptying the entire sink, she's an awful person for not laying out exactly what she wanted from him. "Do more around the house" isn't detailed enough for some guys which is outrageous and to me shows that they truly don't appreciate all the things women do for them, if they can't even figure out what chores they could do to alleviate the burden? Obviously then don't know/care about everything their partner does.

I'm not even married but I see this crap in my own brother who acts like a fucking martyr if I don't jump for joy because he remembered to put the peanut butter away after he made himself a sandwich. Bitch, I'm still pulling so much of your weight and you're throwing a tantrum bc I didn't praise something that took you two seconds?? It's wild.

I legit don’t get it but I have seen so many guys who don’t get it until it’s written down for them

I have a friend who's on leave and has postpartum depression and her husband spends EVERY weekend hanging out with his friends. He says it's exhausting working all day and then coming home and taking care of their two kids when she does it 24/7. He had the audacity to suggest she wait until the weekend to have a girls day with me because that would work better for his schedule. And it's like, she doesn't get to have time away from the kids. I saw this happen with their first kid and now it's worse now that there's two. Fortunately, I plan to be child-free but I can't imagine making parenthood work with a partner.

My cousin is due next month and her partner still has his mates over drinking at their house. She was so stressed out she had to back to her Mother’s house to stay. Men suck.
