The mostly critically-acclaimed and very controversial (also meh) movie 'Joker' is FINALLY in theaters, after what feels like a decade of nonstop talk about it. It made $13.3 million on Thursday, and is expected to rake in around $80M this weekend (on a $55 million budget). Spoilers under cuts, etc.
Also out in select theaters is Natalie Portman's space drama 'Lucy in the Sky', and the critically-acclaimed 'Pain & Glory' from Pedro Almodóvar.
