i volunteer at an animal shelter and you'd be surprised at how many purebred (with papers to prove it) dogs that are dropped off. people don't realize that even if you do get a purebred, you'll still have to give it proper care and training. too many times have i seen "couldn't care for/not enough time" as their excuse for giving up the dog.
my little one is a purebred bichon that i adopted from the shelter. people don't believe me when i tell them she's a rescue.
Thank you! She’s the sweetest little gremlin and I try to show people that even last chance dogs aren’t bad. You’d be surprised at the amount of people that don’t want a dog just because they’ve been at the shelter a long time.
No it’s just a flower attached to her bandana, I try to “dress” her up as much as possible so people won’t think she’s mean. She’s not, she’s needy and loves people.
In the future I want to adopt a pittie

And, "she’s needy and loves people," would be a great title for my memoir....

ngl I love when people are like I'M A FOSTER FAILURE because they fell in love with their foster and had to adopt them.
