Helen (Rose Byrne) is that woman you hate -- but also want to be. What's the problem of the Bridesmaids antagonist? Why is she incapable of getting what she really wants: friends?

Yes I have friends but I've never been a bridesmaid for any of them, which is disappointing tbh. I hear it's often expensive but it would still be nice. The only time I was anything resembling a bridesmaid was at my dad's second wedding in Reno, when I was asked to go up to the front at the last minute. It wasn't glamorous, in conclusion

You're not missing much. I've been a maid of honor twice and I'm praying I won't be asked a third time.

Honestly, I've been in a handful, and can firmly say the only thing being a bridesmaid is good for is determining which of your friends are secretly selfish jerks.

You are not missing anything! I’ve been a maid of honor or bridesmaid in five weddings and had other roles in two others. It sucks, unless your friend who is getting married is extremely wealthy and paying for everything. I’ve spent so much money on shoes, dresses, travel, showers, bachelorette parties, etc that is makes me 😡
