I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of Magneto not being a Holocaust survivor. That's my only thought. I think that backstory adds a LOT to the character.

I have no idea, but I've seen it on facebook, reddit, and I think twitter earlier.

I hope its not because a POC actor may be playing him because they are such things as jewish poc in reality.

are you asking if Magneto being in the Holocaust is a rumor? I'm not much of an X-Men fan but I thought that was like very well established and widely known lore

Yep.

Magneto has always been mega-white.

Better to do Professor X as a POC.

I don't think X as a POC would work as well, since what defined him was that he found a safe space in various institutions after having a shit and abusive family life as a kid. That probably wouldn't happen to a POC in the same way.

Is that in the comics?

Yes Magneto has always been a survivor of the Auschwitz camps.

Not "always". He was a generic villain when Stan Lee created him. Claremont added the Holocaust backstory in 1981.

There were POC victims of the Holocaust

I agree, but how do you get a Holocaust survivor, and his same age friend, not to be in their 80/90s now? That's the only reason why they're thinking of changing it.

Which if they do something re; Wandavision or Multiverse of Madness with Dr. Strange, maybe they can meld realities, and get the mutants into this universe but they're coming from a timeline of the 60s? But that's too much like Cap-sicle.

I have always supported and wished that it were canon that an x-gene retards the aging process. I don't even mean like "Mutants live 200 years" or anything. I feel handing down that edict would fix a lot of backstory problems.

im like was there even black jews in camps during the holocaust.its a huge part of what drove him as a bad guy to save his the mutants from having to go threw what he did :(
